Dried Orange Slices Y’all. For years I’ve adored these but I just couldn’t find them at the local markets and I was clueless as to where to buy them. Finally, I got a little smart and decided to take matters into my own hands. I don’t know why it never occurred to me before that I could actually make them 😂. I love to use these as drink or cake garnish and now I won't need to envy others anymore. They are so easy. See how I made this down below.

Slice them into 3/16" thick slices and dry each side with a napkin. I like to lay them on top of a napkin and pat the top with another napkin.

Transfer to parchment lined baking tray and back at 300 for 45-60 minutes, turning them mid way. Then bake on the lowest oven temperature for 3 - 6 hours or until fully dried. Turn them over every 20-30 minutes or so.
Total time: 4-8 hours or until fully dried
Yields: See photo above for reference
**You will a knife or mandolin slicer, some parchment paper, paper towels and a baking tray
**All proportions are approximated. Adjust to your preference and taste
INGREDIENTS:
1-2 oranges, lemons, or grapefruit
INSTRUCTIONS:
Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees
Wash and dry orange and slice into 3/16" thick slices. Having a mandolin slicer helps but if you don't you can slice them slowly and evenly as possible like I did.
Dry each side of the orange slices with a napkin. I like to lay them on top of a napkin and pat the top with another napkin.

You want them fully dried so you can store them for a long time without going bad. Store away from. humidity.
