Today is not a recipe. Today is just some good ol' PB&J porn. A comforting, child-hood, timeless, favorite classic, turned semi-obscene, tantalizing delicacy. A mix of nolstagia and happiness in every bite. That's how we roll folks.

This truly is an old classic. When I think of peanut butter and jelly recall fond memories of my at the time, elderly history teacher from Nashville named Coach Schrope. I always wondered why he was referred to as “Coach”

In 1901, the first peanut butter and jelly sandwich recipe appeared in the Boston Cooking School Magazine of Culinary Science and Domestic Economics written byJulia Davis Chandler. She said to use currant or crab-apple jelly and called the combination delicious and as far as she knew, original”
